okay guys thanks for all the suggestions and tips, anyways I screwed off that cap on the coolent transfer line and started up the car, when the car started about a half cup of coolant spurted out no biggie, since i wasnt about to wait forever for it to come up to temp i took it for a short drive...

well i have had both the radiator and the thermostat replaced recently is it possible that they installed the wrong thermostat? that would cause the temp to skyrocket and then drop back down to normal right? also today i checked the oil its not cloudy. im at wits end trying to figure this out:mad:

so i was driving my 95 mark 8 the other day to work when i hear the tell tale beep i take one look at the screen and i know im in trouble my temp gauge was pinged as high as it could go and before i could even pull over it dropped back down to normal temps :confused: someone plz help me figure...
