I hooked up the puddle lights so they blink with the turn signals.
They're really not bright enough to be useful blinkers but oh well, they still perform their puddle duties properly too.
Here's a video :shifty:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khNh1DsDRu0
How I did it:
These are the 2006 wire colors/locations, might be different for other years
A) driver puddle ground = c201b, pin 18, Brown
B) passenger puddle ground = c201b, pin 12, Brown
C) driver front blinker ground = c201a, pin 5, Black/White
D) passenger front blinker ground = c201a, pin 4, Black/Yellow
c201b is the leftmost plug on the bottom side of the FEM
c201a is the plug on the left side of the FEM
The FEM (front electronics module) is in the A-pillar by the dead pedal.
I connected A->diode->C and B->diode->D.
I put a diode in each for two reasons--1) didn't want blinkers to be on when puddles turn on, and 2) wasn't sure if puddle light circuit could handle extra load from blinkers. But you probably don't really need the diodes.
enjoy!
