lol...not a dumb question at all,I was surprised when I looked into the hole and it was empty....it was still in the COP spring.

Thanks JP.......couldn't seem to find a Timesert quickly but the HeliCoil was just "down the street" and I needed to get up and running quickly, guess we'll see how good it is.

Thanks for the replies you were right..easy fix.....actually NAPA carries a HeliCoil kit specifically for the 4.6 since it happens so often. .....even a dummy like me can make it work....

.......98 LSC,98,000 mi.......engine started missing,ran codes = #4 cylinder misfire,pulled coilover and looked down.... spark plug gone! Guess this means pulling/replacing passenger side head? Suggestions appreciated.....thanks.

.......nevermind......fixed it....a piece of the arm was broken off inside the plenum, took a screw ran it up in there and pulled it out.......now I have heat. Just took a while to figure it out.

.........followed dash removal instructions on here for my 98 LSC.........black (top) blend door arm was broken,removed broken arm and motor but new motor arm will not seat into blend door plenum. Have adjusted black arm btw hot/cold positions but no luck....what am I missing here? Any thoughts...
