More about David Nortons 2002 4.6 supercharged 5 speed swap

Hi Chris, Thanks very much for info on car. I just received short e mail with car photo and small amount of about build. The electronics tied into entire car seems to have been overcome and is important to find out how done while keeping A/C and if possible anti lock brakes from LS. The way I...

More about David Nortons 2002 4.6 supercharged 5 speed swap

Just wondered who had read of Davids Nortons Black widebody 2002 LS that was upgraded with rebuilt blown 4.6 and 5 speed. Powertrain was beefed and 4.6 was rebuilt with forged internals and has less than 20 lbs boost but puts out 900 hp. More power than I would want for street, and also used old...

    A Proper V8 Swap

Reply to KS on front to rear balance LS with 3.9. I could not fathum a car of this weight handling so well at hi speed on narrow two lane in "Keewanau " in UP of MI toward Brockway Moutain at north tip of western central UP. Stock 3.9 LS sport with only new Conti 255X45X17 tires and 90,000+...

    Headers In!

You took on job very few would try, improvised with no obvious problems, and job looks terrific. As far as gasket upside down, no big deal at all. The overall job is very well done!

2003 Lincoln LS - Replaced Transmission

You have had serveral sweet old and fast cars. I recall a bare bones 5 speed 2.2 turbo GTS We had in Saginaw. I went to lunch after phone call from person on same, the caller came in within 15 minutes and bought the car then and there. Gal I worked with sold it. I am really glad tours ran as I...

2003 Lincoln LS - Replaced Transmission

I have had few faster cars but none as nice, fast, and good handling as LS sport. I am sorry Lincoln gave up so fast. Car business is tough and sure many folks at Lincoln would have loved to keep making rear drive and make it even better.

2003 Lincoln LS - Replaced Transmission

Same, I worked for short time for old friend from 1st job I had in freight transportation back when he started first trucking brokerage. (Perhaps we have gone too far off topic?) He brought in one son to work with me. Son once owned a AWD twin turbo Stealth that was monster in its time. He knew...

2003 Lincoln LS - Replaced Transmission

I would bet a turbo neon would run hard even stock and could be made faster fairly easy. Did you your LS run with Traction Control (Advance Trac) totally off ( brakes clamp on spinning tire and engine will reduce power quickly), was just partially engaged (engine will not reduce power but auto...

2003 Lincoln LS - Replaced Transmission

Had 89 T Bird for few years and liked old MN12 style. Motor was dead horse if not turbo and mine was not. However amonst many things I wated money and effort on to make car run better was B&M shift improver kit. The AOD was not connected to electronically to engine in any way. and in 90 it was...
