I just bought the car about 6 months ago and the COPs appear to be the originals, making them 10 years old. The car has 135K miles onit, would they typically go bad at this point? Is there any way to test them? As Im sure everyone here knows, these things are quite expensive.

Called the ford dealer and they told me that the voltage regulator isnt serviceable for my car (97 LSC) and that they dont sell it seperately. Only chain-type store that carries one is Kragen and its $100. Seems like it might not be work it since I could replace the entire alternator for $150...

Has anyone used a MAF sensor cleaner, particularly the one made by CRC? Says if sensor is dirty, this stuff will add 4-10 HP to the wheels. Its like $7 for than Id ever need so it sounds like it might be worth a shot.

fixed the IAT code, it was unplugged, Mustve forgotten to plug back in when i changed the spark plugs. However, the other code is still present and so is the stutter.

Well...changed the fuel filter and, while the old one appeared to be bad, it didnt solve my hesitation problem. It does seem like its improved slightly and i have a little more power but there still moments of stuttering and my check engine light is still on. Where should i turn next?
