had it rebuilt, 3yr 50K warranty. the rear sprag and overdrive was busted.

my fuel pump went at 105k, trans went at 108k

take it to a shop that has a transmission vac. They'll vac it out, including what's in the torque converter, drop the pan and change the filter then fill'er back up.

yep, found that myself. I also found another shop that will install a reman. for $1850 with a 3yr/75k warranty. Propably go with them and keep it local, incase there's proplems later. Beats the heck out of $3500:eek:

I'll bring it home from the shop Mon. They want $3500 to install new a jasper trans., or $1500 to install one from a junkyard with 120k on it, not happening

Yes, from my 1st post. Use the select a shift, dropped to 3 and it was fine. Got home, put it drive, nothing, had reverse though. It won't take off in drive, you have to rachet it back to 2nd. It won't go into 1st either, should it? Dash only indicates 2nd. now it doesn't have reverse

Would it shift into 1 gear using the select a shift? 2nd is as low as the display on the dash will show.

can't afford that kind of loss, guess I have it fixed.
