Replacing Psgr Tail Light cause other problems?

Help! My husband owns a small gas station/convenience store. He also does state inspections, oil changes & small repairs. Recently our mechanic replaced a customer's psgr tail light on a Lincoln LS for $5.00 (yes, only five dollars). (Sorry, I don't know the year of the vehicle) Now this...
