What the heck??? ETC engine fail safe mode

Here is an update on my part. I found some resistance between the Negative and Positive pole in the trunk, and it was my Radiator Electric Fan going bad. I Removed it, no more "Low Votage codes", now looking to buy a new fan motor. Yesterday I recieved another PCM from Ebay, plugged it in the...

What the heck??? ETC engine fail safe mode

Good to know. For now the coil are brand new, and I have another set, and I'm using my ELM most of the time and look at the codes and graphs often. For now, I'll get the PCM fixed, so I can get it back on the road, again. Gotta love that car lol

What the heck??? ETC engine fail safe mode

When the Motorcraft type fails, would they burn the PCM too ? or do they have a type of failsafe system ?

What the heck??? ETC engine fail safe mode

How much does it cost in the US to get your PCM fixed ? Where I live everything is freaking expensive. I just want to guess how much will it cost to get mine fixed asap.

What the heck??? ETC engine fail safe mode

That's what I thought doing too. I already have 2 sets of coils, and after I did the big tune up on my engine, it sure runs sweet, no miss fire and all sensors worked fine. But the fact it just kept on getting worse every day. I'll see what my wallet tells me what I can buy and fix for the next...

What the heck??? ETC engine fail safe mode

So just to make sure, the P0606 code can't be fixed if I change the coils for motorcraft ? Or is it the oposite, if I get my PCM fixed it will make other stuff work like P1235 and P2105 (assuming that I changed the coils for Motorcraft type, before I get the PCM fixed) ?

What the heck??? ETC engine fail safe mode

I bought those cheap eBay coils, before knowing they would only last a year. I also changed the sparkplugs and did check the gap. I never thought it would fry my pcm in a month. I was hoping for a broken wire, like many of them I fixed in this car. yet I guess I will buy new coils and get that...

What the heck??? ETC engine fail safe mode

hey guys, I have the same problem here, not the same codes + forced shutdown. ETC Engine Failsafe Mode acting up since 3 months now. the first month it would go every hour or so, i bought the wiring diagram book, an OBD2 Ford ELM327 with BT and Forscan lite. I had P0606, P1633, P1235, P2105 and...

    Fog light bulb question...

I have a Gen 2 LS. I bought some Ice Blue LED fog lights from eBay, H10, they work great. Have them on since I bought the car a year ago. I also did the same for all the interior lights, Ice Blue LED lights bulbs and it looks nice.

Wipers Not working... Not good voltage

My wiring diagram manual came in on Friday. Finaly made my wipers work. It was the YL/RD wire that was open. It had 1.44 volts even it wasn't pluged anywhere. That wire goes to the fusebox (fuse 26) by a 6pin plug with only 2 wires. Cut the old wire and passed a new wire between the wiper motor...

Wipers Not working... Not good voltage

Awesome ! That's what I needed to know, thank you !! I had a feeling it would be around the fusebox under the hood. I even pulled it appart from the hood and looked at it quickly. I will be testing the wiring from there. Thanks again !

Wipers Not working... Not good voltage

Good to know. I will keep looking for why I'm not getting the voltage I need. Wish I could find where does that RD/BU wire goes to. I hope I wont have to buy a full harness.

Wipers Not working... Not good voltage

And the p1633 code I know its not related to the wipers. I guess I say short because electricity always use the shortest trajectory? But you 're right the real term would be open. If I have an open circuit in my wiper wiring, would the code be caused by my wiper problems?

Wipers Not working... Not good voltage

Thanks for the info. I found useful stuff on http://deneau.info/ls/ That's where i got some of the wires and voltage. It's the red/blue only had 8volts.
