    Thanks everyone for the input. I didn't know,or hadn't checked to know that engines could be found that cheap. I may run some barrs leak through it. I just need it to last till tax season. I'm partial to my mark,but ill be lookin to get a mustang then. I may try to sell it as is....any takers?

    [B]Alrighty,after a week of painstaking blind diagnosis(blind meaning no shop manual). I gathered that the pink wire with the black tracer was the key. So i was told to run a jumper wire from the VCRM to the battery,and the fuel pump ran. So Now i need a VCRM for a 96 Mark. None of the yards...

    Ok...now i thought this was about a FPDM? How did a VCRM come up and does it have anything to do with what im trying to solve? Sapperfire suggested TPS. Will a TPS thats gone bad,stop the signal to prime and run the fuel pump? Keep in mind,the pump does work. I verified this by connecting it to...

    And...has anyone here ever straight wired a fuel pump from the pigtail plug to work in a pinch,and is it going to affect anything else? Is it do-able without damage to anything else?

    I'm looking for a FPDM. Located in the trunk,passenger side,on the side bracing. Do you have one of those,or any other helpful info as to why the fuel pump isn't running,or getting a signal to run. The pump does work...its just not getting a signal to prime,and then run.

    The fuel inertia switch was not tripped. I did see a module on the passenger side mounted on the brace in the trunk near where the deck lid hinges are. This was a two plug module,but i didn't see any of the color coded wires described,coming from the module. So am i looking in the right place or...

    Ok,i swapped the pump relay with the horn relay. The horn still works off of the swapped relay. What else am i looking for? Fuses??

    [BOk,i turned the key on. No prime,no noise. I would've heard it...i still have the assembly out of the tank. The old pump does work...i hooked it directly to the battery for a second and it ran. So im thinking that no power is getting to the pump. What relays,and or fuses am i looking for under...

The pump is a little smaller round,and it has two separate prongs as opposed to the two prong single plug on the old pump. Now they did list a part # E2326 crossed referenced to the same...

    Ok,i found the post. And from what it was saying Ford part # 3S4Z-9H307-BC,which fits the Focus SVT will work in the mark,and its only $131 bucks. And from what they were saying in the post,it will work on a Gen 1 mark.

Now,i remember running across a post about the same or another pump,that fit a different model of Ford product that also would work on the mark 8,but it cost less.     Thanks guys! You know because i was so freaked when all of this happened,and thought i'd done major damage...i did forget to get the air out of the system. I did find out why i had the misfire...The sparkplug wire was arching off of the head. Funny how i just put those wires on with new plugs...
