Thanks for the help guys but I reversed the wires and I can hear the pump working but still cant get my car to run and it was running before I did all of this. So I think im going to get another fuel pump and see if that helps. Another thing I noticed when I took the entire fuel pump assembly...

hmmm, well they gave you a wire kit where the positive will only fit on the positive side of the pump and I did notice that positive and negative were opposite of the stock fuel pump

I was dropping to fuel tank in my 98 to change the fuel pump, and right where to fuel pump is there is this im guessing sensor where you have to push down and twist to pull it out of the gas tank. Well i did that but the top broke off of it. So my question is, what is it? Would it cause my car...
