No problems at all since the O2's are upstream.

Mine was 2" after the cats and it's an '06. I had 2.5" pipe installed awhile back and didn't really notice any performance difference but the tone of my exhaust is much nicer now.

I redid my whole exhaust from the cats back. I used 2.5" pipe with Magnaflow X pipe into Flowmaster Deltaflow 40's. I love the sound but there is some rattling, not sure if it's because of the cats or what. I will putting on new resonators this week because the rattling gets annoying.

Seems like a pretty sweet idea to me! There's a lot of potential with that setup. I wonder how easy it is to take out when you have to update the software?

I don't think there is any performance benefit between Flowmaster or Magnaflow when it comes to the LS's engine. The motor is to small of a displacement for the mufflers to matter. It's all about which sound you prefer more.

I love my Flow 40's but the other day I heard a very nice LS and I asked what he had. He said that all he did was take out the rear mufflers and installed a straight pipe and new tips. He still had the stock resonators in. It had a very nice rumble to it and is super cheap to do.

All I can say is duhhhh.

I agree with #1fordfan. Who cares, ya it sucks that somebody cheated but that's life. People cheat and always will. If someone has to cheat to win an online contest, well that just shows what kind of person he is. He doesn't need to be kicked out but he shouldn't be allowed to compete in LSOTM...

Actually the 3.0L 4V Direct-Acting Mechanical Bucket (DAMB) is just another type of a Duratec motor. There are inline 4's, v6's and v12's in the Duratec lineup.

Why is everyone so testy lately? The only LS that has IMRC are the v6's. The AJ v8's that we have don't.
