    Radiator fan is always on.

I'll check it tomorrow when I can work on it. Is the vlcm located in the same area as the GEN1?

    Radiator fan is always on.

This is for my 97 LSC w/ 180k miles. It was running fine with no problems until my sister calls and tells me the car overheated after sitting in a parking lot. Went to check it out and it turned out the fuse blew for the vlcm/fan. Since I replaced the fuse the fan is always on from the second I...

98 STS keeps blowing injectors fuse

The fuse only blows for 1/2 the injectors (2,3,5,8). The other half is always fine. We tried a second set of injectors and they also pop the same fuse. We also tried changing the PCM and it didn't do anything. Before it ran fine with no problems. Any ideas on what else to check. As for the MIL...

    Brake problem on '97 LSC

I am having a weird issue with the car. The problem I am having is that when I am driving the car will pull right but when I hit the brakes it would pull to the left hard. I had the front suspension parts replaced earlier and the alignment done and rechecked so that's what led me to think it is...

    Vents/Heat/AC problem

I have searched the forums and cant really figure this one out. Or is it all separate problems that decided to show up at once.:shifty: 97 LSC Problem: No/low heat Weak/medium A/C Able to change from floor to defrost but cant change to panel vents. They intermittently worked when I...

Question regarding high mileage for 4.6 DOHC ???

I have 174k on my 97. The valve cover were leaking so while I had them off I decided to change the timing chain tensioners. I did have the lifter/tappet knock going but I did a transmission fluid engine flush (1/2 oil, 1/2 tranny fluid, run 30-45 min, do oil change). No more knocking, running great.

    2nd gen clunker...lol

From what I read, they can take any part of the car except anything dealing with the driveline (engine, tranny, etc...). But I bet most of these scrap yards are gonna be so flooded with these clunkers that they won't even bother.

    tranny

The one way clutch is shot. Either get it rebuilt with the 98+ one way clutch or like MediumD said get the 98+ tranny.

air suspenion problem at high speeds

The "tracks" for them is either a closed off parking lot for autocross in Salem or an oval track in Radford. Yes, 3 hour drive is not that bad but a wanna be track is not worth the time. The only decent track near me is Summit Point Raceway in WV but it only has public events on Friday which...

air suspenion problem at high speeds

I'm not trying to blame the manufacturers. And its not just some... alot of people should not drive cars capable of higher speeds. Also have you heard of the Montana Speed Limit Paradox. For a couple years there was no posted daytime speed limit so you can drive as fast as you felt like. Well in...
