    Transmission "E" + Overheating = ??

Hey jumpman, the part number I gave you is what my statement lists as the part replaced by the dealership to fix the problem, which is supposed to be the hydraulic valve actuator. Try going to the dealer just to ask them about the part and to confirm that this is indeed what I'm saying it is.

    Overheating - possible heater core...

Final update on my LS. After redoing the drain and bleed the car overheated again, so I ended up taking it to the dealer. My problem turned out to be the hydraulic fan actuator. It all made sense. My car would only overheat when my hydraulic fan was asked to work extra, like when my ac was on...

    Another Overheating Issue...

+1 on Lucky LS. I also had an overheating issue when the weather was really hot or when my ac was on. I was indeed able to drive for too hours without the ac on, on the freeway, with cool weather, but I think the reason may have been that the ram air was helping my hydraulic fan do its job. I...

    Transmission "E" + Overheating = ??

Hey, I just got rid of my overheating headache. My car would overheat after about 15 mins of driving with the ac, or without the ac but when the weather was very hot (~100). In other words when the cooling system was loaded. I noticed the hydraulic fan seemed slaughish. I took it to the dealer...

    Overheating - possible heater core...

Thx for the responses guys. So I did the drain, bled, and refill today again. This time fluid definitely came out during step 12 the way pektel described it. I'll keep you guys posted in a couple of days on how my baby is doing. Hopefully this headache will be gone...

    Overheating - possible heater core...

Thx guys. I'll go ahead and bleed and service the system again today after work, but one quick one before I do that. On step 12 of the process, should I expect fluid to come out of the heater air bleed? it seems like it should right.

    Overheating - possible heater core...

Hello everyone, I have an '00 V6 LS and here's the issue. It overheats after about 20-30 minutes of driving, but faster when I have the AC on. I previously had a crack in the degas bottle and a broken radiator manifold so I replaced them both along with the t-stat and housing. Afterward I...

newbie witha an ls '00 overheating

Hey everyone, here's the progress report, no luck, it's still overheating. So far this is what I've done: replaced degas bottle, new t-stat and gasket. cleaned debris of the radiator, took it to get the system drained, bled and reserviced (with the fancy machine they use at the mechanics shop)...

newbie witha an ls '00 overheating

Hey, thanks for the tips guys. I checked the connection to my fan. It all seems ok. I realized my radiator had tons of crap stuck on it (leaves and other debris) so I carefully took most of it off with my hands and pressure washed the rest. I got the cooling system bled and reserviced hoping to...

Sorry for sounding dumb, but is that the one behind the radiator? if it is than it's working, otherwise could you tell me where to look?

newbie witha an ls '00 overheating

Hello everyone, I've read the forums for a while now to get help with stereo and window actuator issues, they've always been quite helpful. This is my first posting. I used to be an avionics technician both in the military and on the civilian side, but I must admit when it comes to cars I'm...
