Thanks Sounds right ! Back firing in the exhaust. Mechanic never said anything about the coils and I did not think about them as it is not missing or running rough. No engine light on, maybe mechanic can figure out which coil

Mechanic replaced right side catalytic converter to pass state inspection. Now occasionally (once a day) backfires under slight throttle. 6 cyl Could it be the catalytic converter? something else? Thanks (my 2nd Lincoln LS) first was black (too hot) this one is light tundra green nice color
