I thunk you're going to be out of luck on this. The Continental engine has a FWD pattern and I doubt it would be cost effective to have an adapter made up. If you could find a Mark VIII, you would have the RWD pattern that you are looking for.

I would be shocked if the EATC or audio buttons would work in a '97. The good news is you can use a wheel from a Crown Vic, Grand Marquis, or Town Car with the same style switches. The CV and GM wheels do not have illuminated cruise control switches, but you can pry the ones out of your wheel...

I didn't realize you took the car to a dealer. They may or may not be any good, but they certainly won't be the cheapest. I would suggest finding a reliable independent mechanic. Ask your family and friends who they use.

Actually, it could be either 6X8 or 6 1/2 in the front doors on the '97. Mine had 6X8's and I had to use adapters to make the 6 1/2" speakers fit properly. According to Crutchfield, it depends on the build date and whether the factory system is JBL or not.

My '97 is .052 to .056. I would imagine the '95 is the same. You can double check yours by looking on the emissions decal under the hood. It is listed there.
