My ‘04 V8 with 303k miles has been running fantastically. Yesterday, I was driving up to my mom’s house and was caught in usual SoCal traffic. We were crawling (5-10 mph) up a slight hill and the outside temp was 79. I usually have my OBD2 reader going to monitor things like temperature. When...
To start, my car is not overheating! All of the cooling system parts have been replaced at least twice over the life of the car.
My question relates to the functioning of the cooling fan, the A/C system, and cooling temp. I periodically connect my iPhone to the car through a Bluetooth OBD2...
I get annoyed when people don't follow up on how or what they ended up doing to "fix" a problem. So...
I ended up getting these rear LCA arms off of Amazon. I was fairly impressed with the quality of the bushings and the arm itself. We will see how long they last. I am keeping the existing...
I have a very annoying squeak from my driver's side rear end. I used a mechanics stethoscope and am fairly certain it is coming from the LCA. I sprayed some silicon lubricant into the bushings and the terrible squeak has receded.
Looking on RockAuto, there are Mevotech arms for a 2003...

You can double check parts on Rock Auto. Look up the part you need, and then look to see if the same part is under a 2000-2000 Jag S type. A lot of the suspension and engine parts are the same.
Looks good! Double check that those chain tensioners are all good!
Make sure to clean off all the old oil drips so you can make sure you aren't leaking any more. This may go without saying but make sure you torque the front cover per the manual. And yes, the power steering pump and bracket...
Rockauto has balancers. There is also a vendor that rebuilds balancers that folks have had good success with.
I had a small annoying oil leak that was from the front cover of my 2004 LS. I eventually replaced the front cover gaskets and have been leak free for the past 2 years. It is an...
