His scanner didn't show anything so we just let it run. It started smoking worse. :( Then it finally started getting back to normal. He thinks maybe I got some bad gas and it stuck open a fuel injector. It's running good now. Thanks for all the suggestions fellas!

I don't have a clue. My mech. is coming by tomorrow with his diagnostic to see if he can figure it out. :confused:

I don't think it has a coolant smell, but it's defiantly leaking/spitting gas out of the exhaust pipe. Roughly in the middle of the car. I called my mechanic and he hadn't heard of it but he was guessing a bad fuel sender or bad gas with water that has an injector frozen. I wanted to get the...

Our LS has been great over the past couple years. Ran perfect a few days ago but we went to use it today and... Leaking fuel underneath the car from the exhaust and puffing white smoke out 1 of the tailpipes. When I revved it up it didn't sound or feel like it was hitting on all 6 cylinders...

Not on mine. I think I have the same 245/45 size but I'm not sure. I do remember that for the exact same tire (Kuhmo) in either the stock size or the wider tire I got, it was $100 cheaper per tire to go with the much better looking 45 series tire.

A tad smaller in dia than stock but not much at all and about an inch wider. Sweet!

Some mechanics are like doctors - they don't like to be told what you think is the problem. Just tell your mechanic that you trust what the smart guys on here have told you seems to be the problem most of the time on our LS's. My mechanic just listened under the hood and spotted the air leak...

Why do you suppose our city mpg sucks so bad? Does it have to do with our cars being more geared for top end? I'm content with the mpg I'm seeing of the hiway driving. Would it make sense to hammer it to get it up to 60mph as quick as possible and then cruise at 60? lol

old thread but I thought with gas prices on the rise again others would be interested. Still haven't read the results of a V6. What kind of mpg are you V6'ers getting?

Our auto 00 V6 is a pooch on take-offs. I wish it had the pull my old 90 Tbird Supercoupe had but oh well. Keeps me from burnin up the tires around the corners I guess. It runs much better, say, at highway speeds and then when you want to go pass. Slug off the line though.

I like the looks of the charger. My boss is test driving one and it's got some pull. Throws ya back in the seat!
