i just had the same problem last week, a couple of times after accelerating it went into failsafe mode. took it to the dealer and they replaced two coils under the extended lincoln warranty (and got me a car).
i also have an 03 with just under 70k on the clock. i havent had any other...
I am getting closer to wanting to sell my car. I don’t have any recent pictures (plus its not as clean as it should be) but if someone is interested and local let me know and I can get some pictures and provide more info. There are a few marks on the front and rear bumpers, but other than that...
millionbuy.com has some choices for good prices. my local stereo shop where i have had some work done wanted to sell me some power acoustik ones for retail, and i found them online much cheaper. I have not personally seen them but 250 for two 9.5" screens (for my expedition) would be a good...
i recently installed the Kenwood DNX-7100 in my wifes new expedition and it has really good navigation. I am on the fence about installing this model or the avic-z2 in my LS.
The reason I bought the 7100 for the wife is that it has a garmin navigation. one of the very few complaints i...
i have heard great things about that unit. That is actually what i am planning on putting in my LS and my wifes expedition. I have played with it a couple of times. The supposed negatives about the pioneers is that the navigation isnt all that great. The nav on kenwoods is Garmin, easy to...
just be aware that the d3 doesnt have a moveable screen and the screen is not 7" like most other double dins (that fold down). Check out avic411.com there is a lot of info over there about the pioneer units.
There really is nothing else at that price point though that has navigation. Plus...
I briefly recall someone on here building a slim subwoofer box that housed their sub inverted in the front (towards the cab) of the trunk. Just inquring if anyone else had done that and how it sounded?
I have been running a Kicker 10" L7 and a ZX 600.1 for the last two years or so and am...
nope still cant be done (and stay done for more than a couple hundred miles). the z2 upgrade got rid of the bypass that worked on the z1. check out the new panasonic with navi or the new kenwood dnx 7100 if you are looking for something that costs a little less and has an easy bypass.
which kenwood did you go with? I just recently saw their new model the dnx 7100 and it seems pretty sharp. From what I can tell the only thing it doesnt have that the avic z1/z2 has is the hard drive. the kenwood runs the navigations off of flash memory so it is supposed to be much faster and...
it seems like everyone who buys 20's has them up for sale on here within a couple of months? has anyone else noticed that. just a thought, good luck selling them.
how did you like that rubber?
The avic z2 is the replacement for the avic z1. there is also the n something and new d3 which is a step down from the z2 (does everything). the bypass allows you to watch a dvd or change your navigation while you are moving. check out avic411.com they talk about the bypasses and most of them...
If you try and buy one from ebay be careful, a lot of guys over at avic411.com have been saying quite a few scams have been going on with the pioneer avic z-1, like jrock said just be careful.
