I've had this exact same issue. I too have an 01 manual. It's only happened twice this winter so far, and both times was very light snow. Very weird..if it is from the snow in the intake or something weird like that, I'd assume it would have affected it in the heavy snowstorms I've driven through.

I really need one of those rear shocks...but I'm guessing you'd want to sell them as a pair..lol. I've had 2 fronts and 1 rear for a while now. Was trying to sell them because I couldnt find the 4th. Oh, and it looks like all the parts are oem, correct? I've got the same exact car, year and color.

Yea. All cuz the parts dept. didn't do their job. Somebody must have switched the part out and it was never checked.

Well. I got f***** over. Ordered both shocks from 2 different dealers, the last 2 shown in stock in the country. Got the first, all was well. The other I received was in a correctly marked box, though the shock inside was nowhere near correct. They are paying for return shipping and all, but now...

Yup and after 4 different part # revisions there could still be some floating around..who knows
