How to get into the 12's

Some 4.86 or 5.14 gears will really wake your car up and possibly get you into the 11s. You will not be happy on the highway with it though. In tried it and found out just how miserable it is to listen to my engine screaming at 70 mph. Lots of fun around town though.

    Some Lincoln History

You guys might try to contact the Granatellis about some of the stuff he was making under the "GranCor" name. He made lots of flathead stuff that worked good for the era. He was pretty close with Ford Engineering and may still have some of the stuff he was making back then. He has a reputation...

    Blue Flame, All Out

Hey Driller, you do know that Chevrolet owns the rights to "Blue Flame" don't you. That is the name they applied to their 6 cylinder engines. If you have a 2 or 3 way chip added to your PCM you could likely run 11.5 or better compression on the street with good results in each tune mode. The...

    '98 Headlamps for Best Offer

I have a pair of '98 headlamps that are in excellent condition, good Chrome, no broken mounting tabs and no sign of any water inside, ever. Driver side appears to be a new replacement and is beautiful. Passenger side has a very light scratch, very hard to see, in the side near the reflector...

To Boldly Go Where No One Has Gone Before

I changed the seat covers in my 1st. gen and it was not very hard at all. I didn't do the doors as I didn't want the hassle. The seats are quite different as the wiring is different and don't just plug in. The seat frames are different as the 1st. gen use air for the lumbar seat adjustment and...

    air suspension problems??

Sounds to me that you have a bad solenoid or relay on the right front. Have you checked it for leaks when it was up? If not , the next time its up turn off the air ride switch and jack it up, then spray the air bag with a mixture of water and dish soap, Dawn or Palmolive is what I use, if its...

    Navigator exhaust

I've been considering a similar system but I have come to the conclusion that a larger diameter pipe from the manifold exhaust pipes (Y pipe) back would be a better thought due to space restrictions, Then split the pipe near the rear end to have duals at the end. I'm going to look at the exhaust...

    removing rear panel

I can tell you about the earlier ones. There is a couple of smallish screws that are recessed a bit in the lower part, not the bottom, of the panel, remove them first. To loosen the upper part you will have to pry the panel out about a half inch. There are at least 4 spring clips holding it in...

    Previous owner got me Fucced....

Good job! Nice article too, there should never be a problem with that plug again. Your problem is most often caused by over torquing the spark plugs. An awful lot of DIYers never consider using a torque wrench for their plugs.
