I too am going through this in my 04 V8 LS. I finally got it to the transmission shop in the next town over, best reputation in the county. Putting in an ETE reman. 3 year, 100,000 mile warranty. $2400 installed. Not too bad cheaper than the one directly from Ford with little to no warranty...
