The El-Cheapo cube tool almost fit when I replaced the pads last year. A little grinding made for a perfect fit and saved me the trouble of buying another tool right at that moment.

Yep, same experience. I had the same experience on a 1984 Cougar and spent way too much time trying to get that one fixed. As soon as my Mk8 started doing the same thing I decided I was not going to waste my time, I just replaced the whole wiper motor assembly. Got new motor (reman actually) and...

Still in need of help. Someone must have a manual showing these torque values, unfortunately I do not (yet). Would someone please help me out and post them.
