    New question

Still haven't tried to flushing it yet since everytime I go to do something on it I stress and that makes my blood pressure skyrocket. Wish this had all happened before my cardiac issues surfaced. But I noticed how big the trans cooler is and it seems to take up a significant portion of the...

    New question

Well I am getting some pressure but I also haven't let it get above operating temperature but I know it's still getting hot too fast. Maybe it's cracked but I'll still check. Still want to get a radiator anyway. Don't have transportation to go get one locally plus it'd probably be more...

    New question

Hey, you missed my question. Wouldn't the radiator being broken or cracked there also cause it to not build any pressure or would it only start to do that when it gets hot or something? Because it is building pressure now though I don't know if it's 16lbs worth of it. Also what would be a...

    New question

Ok. I get what you guys are talking about now from Joe's illustrating with the pics. I'll look when I get a chance. Wouldn't that also let pressure out if you say steam can come out of there? I was thinking about getting another radiator anyway because even if it isn't the cause at least it...

    New question

FRONT side of the radiator? You mean the side where the grille is and opposite the fan? That will take me a bit to get to. How the hell does a hose even fit between the radiator and the condenser? And if it's "broken or cracked" it can cause my car to overheat the way it is?

    New question

No both hoses at the top area of the radiator seem to be soft and supple. Didn't see any cracks and haven't found any leaks since I fixed the seal in the thermostat fill cap.

    New question

No the heat works very well. Always has if memory serves. Had a problem with the AC once but that was the DCCV.

    New question

Ok, while searching for how to do it on an LS I guess I was only thinking of an old style power flush where you connect a garden hose and plastic piece that went into the radiator fill to aim the overflow away. I didn't realize that's not the only way. So I guess I could just get a flush...

    New question

That would be great but the problem would be getting the car there. I'm not getting it towed to and from another mechanics they already wanted way too much to bring it home from 3 miles away.

    New question

I'll have to find how a flush works on these but I did already drain it twice. First to get the green coolant out and then I filled it with water and ran it for like 5 minutes around 2k rpm then drained that and put the G05 coolant in.

    New question

I'm not sure how to even do a flush on a system like these. I know how you do them on old style cooling systems. I think I should still get another radiator first.

    New question

Let me guess...... teardown and rebuild? I'm thinking I should get a new radiator and see if that does it since they aren't too damn expensive. The car WAS working ok before that night on the way home from work.

    New question

I myself have never drained it. And the gunk was kind of a tannish brown maybe? It came out of the bottom of the petcock fine but wouldn't out of the nipple part until I cleared it out. I guess that could also explain why the heater circuit was able to cool it rather quickly but only to a...

    New question

Ok, Joe & Sport, I noticed when I drained the coolant at the petcock on the radiator that the little nipple to connect a hose to drain was filled with some kinda gunk and the coolant wouldn't come out of the nipple part until I cleaned it out. Which makes me wonder would my radiator being...

    New question

Ok I'm putting the antifreeze in now and am using the Zerex G05 I was told to get but I just noticed on the jug that it says 2004 and up LS Oreailly where I got it shows it for 2000 up vinA which mine has an A in it but I don't know if it's what they refer to. Will the Zerex G05 work in the 02...
