Technically the LS transmissions 5R55S/5R55N as well the similiar ones found in the mountaineer/explorer are ''sealed for life''
now this doesnt mean you cant change the fluid. I would do it every 30k just like any other car.
and yes no dipstick there is a ''special'' way that is a pita...
thats a good one, it looks factory. If an LS comes in so I can see where it goes I might be able to figure out, but the wiring diagrams really dont list anything in that area with an 11 pin connector. As far as I know all the sat radio stuff goes inline behind the radio.
heated seat buttons are next to the ashtray on either side in the wood grain
hard to miss.
the button on the EATC control is for a headted WINDSHIELD ;) and it is the button to the left of the rear defrost button. (if equiped)

hardware grade bolts should never be used in any automotive application.
thats about 6-800 dollar job at a dealer, at least my dealer. We charge 5.50 hours labor (with diag if there is drivability issues that lead to cam covers) @ 110/hr plus about 160 in parts.
plus coils if they need to be replaced at 100 dollars each, boots are around 25 each i think...
