are the 16x7 lace wheel's that are used on the ford crown vic and
merc. grand marquis the same as the ones used on the early 90's model LSC?
i want to find a set and install them in place of the origional turbine wheel
is the conversion from bag's to coils mearly a simple swap? is there any special modifications that has to be done in order fo the coil spring's to be installed? do i use coil spring's out of the late eightie's v-8 mustang? will eibach spring's work?
please help me. this will save me alot of...
possibly a bad u-joint or possibly a worn bearing. does the car have traction-loc rear axle?maybe time for fresh lube and additive. does the car have independant rear suspension? maybe a worn half shaft or axle bind. i dont know much about that certain car but those are only my best guesses.
after i purchased my lincoln from my father in law"the car sat for 4 yrs. in garage" the front brake caliper's froze on the way home and alot of heat built up. the next day i replaced both front caliper's,pad's and had rotor's turned. about two week's ago i started to get a humming noise comming...
my first car was an 86 IROC and i have owned a ton of other f-bodies over the year's and i now own an 89 LSC. there is a big difference between the two as far as performance is concerned. the lincoln is bigger and heavier than the camaro\fbird, and is not as nimble in the corner's. but that is...
is there any manufacturer out there like GTS that makes smoked head lamp covers for the mkVII. if so where could i get them. i also am looking for a fog lamp and bracket for this car. i priced one through ford and they are no longer produced but they found one still new in N.C. and the price...
i myself was just trying to find pic's and info on my 89 LSC and i stumbled on this sight
and joined up right away. this place is addictive. i spend more time here than working on my car. great web site. keep up the good work
that's cool
awesome find.
i love to sift through the local junk yard's treasure hunting.
the garnet red is a beautiful color but mine seem's to appear darker in color than the one you have. did they have two different shades of red?
i think the mkVII was a true 80's era muscle car. raw mustang power, posi rear, 4wheel disc brakes. all in a two door coupe with a loaded interior. some of the other top end car's of that era didn't have alot of these options standard. if at all. even the mustang didn't have 4 wheel discs until...
heck i was 33 when i got my LSC from my dad in law last year. i always laughed at linc's and caddy's "being a blue collar camaro and firebird guy" until i drove one and realized their performance potential in a big car. heck look at the new cad.STS. that thing will be eating BMW's and other high...
for a verry long time i didn,t even acknowledge a lincoln as a car that i would own let alone get seen in one.
then when i met my wife,s father he owned an 89 LSC. i never gave his car a second glance until my brother in law showed me the car and lifted the hood.
"that,s a mustang H.O...
thank's for the help
man i picked up a set of autolite plat's last night and installed them this morning (it took 45 mins) . i didnt know about the plugs you specified until it was too late. the new ones still made a big difference over the origionals with 114,000 miles on them. next week im...
