This is the second time I have had to replace the brake light switch on my 99 LTC, it seem that the switch will short out and fry the switch and the wires but not the fuse. I had purchaced a replacement switch at NAPA, but I am wondering if a Genuine Ford Part would last longer?

One remote for my 99 TC only activates the emergency horn when using any of the buttons. Has anyone had this problem? I changed out the battery, and the other remote works fine. Any help would be great
