OK - ill Try the air idea first.......where can i get the procedure to bleed the system of air?

I have not been on in a while.....but my 02' LS V8 is doing something strange, and i was hoping for some adivce. I can be driving along, and then all of a sudden my temp gage jsut shoots to the top, overheat light comes on, the car powers down....I pull over - pop the hood, in reality its not...

Why do you need more HP? These are by far not fast cars.

Sounds like it would be too loud. Its not a Vette. Or am I wrong with the small cube displacement?

Werner - I am in Illinois........I also thought about that - just increase the diameter of the tubing and using the stock mufflers............I do like how the motor sounds when i hit it now with the cai........maybe take the resonators out......

Thanks guys - the oem crap is so restrictive i figured some mandrel piping and more of a free flowing muffler would improve the sound, i dont care about the performance, sure it might improve a little but - this car wasn't intended to be fast. I just want a deeper tone.

What mufflers would you suggest? I dont want it loud, just something over stock.......the mag system seemed relatively quiet......

Anyone know where to purchase a Cat back system for an 02' V8, that isn't priced $700 plus? Thanks

Got the package through MAX SPEED PERFORMANCE. I had to have them re-balanced.................as they were WAY off.

Yeah - I took the idea from him.......not orignal - but when I saw a pic of his - i knew i wanted those rims. I went with 245/40/19 tires, knowing i wasn't going to lower it........feels / great. I also put slotted / drilled rotors on all 4's......painted the calipers black........gave...

I am somwhat new to the forum - wanted to share a pic of the LS with the new rims / tires. I really like the look especially compared to the stock OEM Chromes!!!! Hope the pic uploaded.........
