Can Bad COP's cause transmission shift issues?

I ordered a set off e-bay as well. 52 dollars and some change to my door. Prolly kick the cel and go bad in a few months but, I will give them a shot since they are the price of one at the parts store. OH YEAH, don't order from partsgeek whatever you do.

    Best COP's for the money

I got a friend that ordered 8 new coils for like 60 bucks off e-bay. His truck has been going strong for 3 months now.

Then again, I wouldn't put it past a dealership to just lie to him.

2002 V8 LSE with 156k miles. Transmission issue. Help

uh-huh Wouldn't let me change the fluid in his 98 vette. He took it to Carl Hogan Chevrolet where they had the tools to completely flush the transmission. ****er didn't roll off the rack. Guess he should have been content with just pulling the pan. It would have bought him a few more miles.

I'm stumped! She doesn't want to let go!!

I would think a gasket like mentioned. A burnt valve can give a car a rough idle like that. Maybe do a compression test before pulling the intake if you can't find a vacuum leak. If the idle is rough enough, you could pull the power to the coils one plug at a time. Whichever cylinder you pull...

2000 ls Dies after start-up and won't start back.

I did. Actually the old battery charged up. I just used the one off my fox to test with since the ls battery was low of charge from sitting so long.

2000 ls Dies after start-up and won't start back.

Little update, finally got the car mechanically sound. All I like is a tail light and a fog light. And the mechanic I bought the car from is absolutely sick. He told me he feels like he gave it to me. I got around 1500 in this thing including the fuel pump, 8 plugs, 1 coil, 4 new tires and a 4...

    Buying Coils And Replacing Them

I did mine in about an hour this morning along with the plugs. I would figure anywhere from 45-75 dollars...If you do it yourself, make sure to use air and blow out the holes before removing the plugs. Otherwise, all that crap falls on the piston.

Has anyone rebuilt the bottom end of their V8?

I haven't torn one down but, I have a friend that is a diesel mechanic that bought one from his brother. The car had a bottom end knock. I want to say he put mains in it. He may have done it like mentioned above. I do know for a fact he built the bottom end and the car ran perfectly until he...

    New plugs/coils - still misfiring

Does the engine have a bad miss while idling or is it just driving it?

    What needs to be done?

    Will the engine turn over?

Why exactly can't I replace 1 COP at a time?

If something is a bitch to get to, I always replace them when I replace the one I think is the problem. Then replace the others as needed. Most of the time this would refer to coil packs that are covered by a plenum and the plenum would need to be removed. The v-8 ls is a different story though.

V8 Hydraulic to electric fan for $100. Taurus fan, Volvo controller, BMW temp switch.

This kinda like the set-up on my foxbody. I am getting away from the relays though and going with a dcc controller on it.
