What does this bumper belong to?

Ok, does anyone know of a database that shows the front ends of various years of lincolns? I'm not having any luck just looking at random years. HELP! Thanks, Wayne

What does this bumper belong to?

Can anyone identify this bumper cover? I have a 2000 towncar executive edition and it dosn't work on it. When I picked it up I didn't have a pic of my car with me and took the guy's word for it but it's not the same. It would appear that he knew it was not for a 2000 like he said because...

    Air bag light...

This is a 2000 towncar exec series. So check the wiring to each bag? There are side bags on the side of the seats I noticed. Could be any one of them? Possibly a sensor as well? Thanks. Wayne. Again, to be honest, I'd just assume they never go off. I survived 20 years on...

    Air bag light...

I've got an air bag light. When you start the car the air bag light will flash 3 times, then six times, then three, then six until you get driving down the road then the light just stays on. I don't recall if it flashes 6 times and then 3 or vise versa. Personally, I'd just assume the air...

Names of components? 2000 Lincoln Town Car.

The car isn't here at the moment. It's a couple of miles away. The next time I get over there I'll try to take a couple of shots of what I'm talking about. I was at the bowling alley the other night and saw a town car with that rubber grommet thing I was talking about that goes under the hood...

    2000 Lincoln Town Car

Tim, Yes, I read it over but wasn't really clear as to what I was looking at. Now that I've looked it over, in hind sight, it makes more sense. Too bad we can't get a freebie. Sounds like the infamous chrysler 2.7 liter v-6. It was a disaster. But chrysler wouldn't warentee them. Jerks...

Names of components? 2000 Lincoln Town Car.

Thanks, the part I was talking about is just the rubber peice that goes between the hood and the emblem that bolts to the hood. I think you're talking about the panel over the radiator and condensor. I didn't spend much time yet on that site but I did look at it. I'll check it out more...

    2000 Lincoln Town Car

no0c, thanks for the info. I was not aware of this issue. Is this common to all the 4.6L engines like the ones used in the grand marcs? I believe the motors are identical so I assume the same issue exists. Did Ford correct the error? Did later models get a corrected intake and if so at...

Names of components? 2000 Lincoln Town Car.

It would be nice to know exactly what parts are called. For example, I'm missing the rubber piece that goes in between the hood and the hood emblem. There's a panel on the bottoms of my doors. Mine is the "Executive Series" and I'm not sure of the other models had those panels or not...

    2000 Lincoln Town Car

V-Tally. Thanks for the tip but I'm covered on the bumper cover. I'll let you know if I need an intake.

    2000 Lincoln Town Car

no0c, thanks for the info. What would the symptoms be if there was the beginings of an issue? Aside from actual visable leakage of course? Does it smoke? Other than a slight part throttle stumble there are no apparent issues at this point. Wayne

    OOPS...broken air ride hose

I was at an auto parts the other day and the guy showed me an air shock kit. It included the hose and connectors and stuff. All I could have used out of it was the hose so I passed. If I had to replace more than just a 3 inch section it might have been worth the 18 bucks. Plus tax of course...

    OOPS...broken air ride hose

I think the compression unions are the way to go in this case. I think I can get at the damaged part of the hose without dissconnecting it from the "tee". The only problem I'm running into is that I can't find anywhere with that size nylon tubing. Can you think of a suitable alternative...
