Wow, so many answers within that short amount of time! Okay, I think I didn't express myself very good. I'm aware of that the old muffler needs to be cut out and the new one needs to be welded in. I want to try muffler exchange only first and if that is not sufficient, I will think about more...

First I want to say hello to everyone here! I bought a 2003 Lincoln LS V8 (72k miles) one month ago and now I would like to get a better V8-sound. It should not be too loud, so I think I just want to change the mufflers. I already used the search function but I didn't find any threads...
