    Stumble under light acceleration

On my conti I had the same issue, drove me crazy for a while. I had just cleaned my maf prior to the issue. Turned out it was a ripped seal letting air in after the maf when I put it back together. Fixed the seal, fixed the issue.

Blinking check engine light, almost dies while stopped in gear?

I blew one 3-4 years and 75k ago. Took me 20 minutes to put a new insert in it. I still drive it like I stole it with no issues. I did have a heads up before it went. I could hear something metal, light tick going on under the hood and I chose to ignore it. In hindsight it was the spark...

Blinking check engine light, almost dies while stopped in gear?

Flashing light means a do not drive situation. From what you described you might have blown a plug out of the threads or you have multiple coil packs out. Pull your coil covers and pull each coil pack off a inch then back on. If you have a plug in one, you will know. You can also pull the...

2001 continental factory set keypad code

Code should also be on the drivers window master switch. The one with all 4 switches. That unit actually stores the code, so if the switch is ever changed, the factory code will change to the number on the new unit.

    01 Conti overheating problem.

I forgot to ask in my first response. Are the fans kicking on at idle? If so are they blowing the right way? If you turn the heat on does it blow hot? And if you take the cross over plug out, is the coolant moving through the tube at a fast pace? Did both engines have the same part...

    Continental picture thread!

Never ran the quarter with her. Was always scared i'd leave the trans on the track. I've always feared and respected the 1-2 shift. Very rarely will I hold full throttle for that shift. Most of the time if I'm getting on it I will let off when its shifting second. Zex system was set up to...

Injectors, fuel pump, p+p, b&m shift kit, 03 cobra cams, custom cold air box, modified maf, true duals back cats and res delete, custom tune. Use to have a zex 100 dry shot with trction control unit, (removed at 150k)

    New Battery Discharaging

Sounds like a random charging issue. Nothing on this car could drain the battery in 30 minutes. All the lights on this car turn themselves off after so long. Headlights 10 minutes, trunk light 15 minutes and so on.

    01 Conti overheating problem.

First thing I would check is to make sure all the air is out of the coolant loop. Could be a air pocket getting hung up at idle. Bleed it from the cross over tube. Gratz on the swap!

Road Trip to USAF Tech training in MS - 2002 Continental

Been a real long time since I did the silencer delete. I believe I pulled the drivers front tire, undid the inner wheel well plastic, then unscrewed it and removed it. It's not a hard job. HID's work fine in the conti. They are a excellent upgrade. Headlights can be adjusted down if you...

Road Trip to USAF Tech training in MS - 2002 Continental

Had a couple exhaust sample vids on my phone I uploaded for you to hear. Guess I didn't do a vid of my dual out setup, I'll record 1 for you later on. If your heavy on the pedal after these upgrades you will run through tires very fast. With traction control off tires will break loose from...

Road Trip to USAF Tech training in MS - 2002 Continental

-Change the light and check the socket for corrosion. Sometimes contis trunks leak allowing water in from the "caulked seams" -A/c slowing down at a stop is normal. -Trans fluid on these should be changed at every 30k miles. I recommend using a ford dealer to do it. Slight trans slip can...

    2001 Continental Blinker light?

Off the top of my head I want to say it's 3157 / 3457.

    Deer question?

Actually the loud bass will confuse the deer. They won't be able to pin point the noise, where if you turned the radio off, then they could hear your car coming. Chances of you hitting a deer are not that high anyways. You are 10 times more likely to get into a car accident. Most deer are...
