Mine was kind of a mix of both. Bought the car from a Philly dealership that I had a friend who was a head mechanic/team supervisor there. The car had body damage and was repainted but I never bothered to check because he ok'd it and I trusted him. Well I found this out when I went to sell it...
Like I said, I wasted all the cans trying to get it right which was enough paint to probably fully paint both bumpers. I had it done professionally and I was extremely surprised how close they got it. It wasn't perfect but I knew it was the best I could expect.
That's exactly why. I tried doing it to a McLaren grille and each time I'd either apply too much basecoat and not enough pearl or vice versa. I used the entire cans which was about enough to fully paint both bumpers on just the frame of a grille trying to get it right.
I bought tri-stage paint from paintscratch and it came with 3 cans. One for the basecoat, one for the pearlescent, and one for the clear coat. It came out terribly.
Don't paint tri-stage paint yourself. I learned that the hard way once. If you do it yourself you'll seriously just end up wasting your money then spending more in the long run to have it corrected/done right.
Big difference to me between the CTS and CTS-V. The body is the same but the CTS has great styling cues. The arched fenders, great looking wheels, grille, brakes. The only thing I didnt like about the CTS was the center stack which is changed in the CTS-V with the addition of the Nav unit...
Go for it. I had one and it never disappointed. I still have some pics in my member's gallery I think. I'm waiting on some 09 V's to come off of leases to pick one up used. The only reccomendation I'd give if you get one is to ditch the run flats for some high performance summers and buy a full...
Just one change, at the risk of being flamed by the LS faithful. I think that is the fact that most newcomers or first time LS buyers don't realise is that it was a car on par with most others. Does that mean it sucks now? No, I dont think so but it was definentely a better performer when it...
Misfire will flash the CEL. Eventually you will get a misfire code for a specific cylinder. Can also throw codes even though no light is on so try pulling them anyway.
Only other way is to drive around with an engine diagnostic tool hooked up and see which cylinder isnt hitting in the proper...
Any car is what you make it, even though the factory intended it to be something else. It's all relative... whether you think it's a race car or a luxury car with some passing power. I think how you see this car depends on other cars you have driven.
I miss the car in terms of having...
Everytime one of these kill threads starts, an arguement about the car's "intended purpose" also starts between the vets and the noobs. It's too great. Keep up the entertainment!
Thats bull. If they were in Texas he couldve killed them all and gotten away with it. Now all he does is pretty much play a harmless prank back to them and he gets in trouble, on his own property? BS to me.
