it can cause a miss at idle. but he never gave any explanation on when it misses. learn how the DPFE works and you will understand why it can cause a miss at idle.
that's it for me, no need to go on
"having been through DPFE codes on multiple cars now, not once did a DPFE/EGR code cause a miss."
a bad dpfe will cause a miss and a lean code. a bad plug will cause a dead miss and a lean code but no egr code.(were just assuming it's a bad NEW PLUG not an injector or a wire or anything else)...
don't have any good pics, but I fallowed the directions in the links. I found a punch to be the best way to remove the rivets. I found the gear coming off of the motor the be worn so i replaced it with the same gear from another location in the assy. I can move back and forth now but i can't...
really? there is not logical reason to go replace a spark plug with those codes. it's like saying you have a leaky faucet so I'm gonna replace your water heater.... replace the dpfe and the hoses. clear the codes and retest... and stop listening to those people that told you that you needed...
I don't think i have that problem of the motor not working. I can hear the motor running so I'm thinking the gears are loose or worn. alternately I could just move it back but i don't have any idea how to unlock it
my drivers seat track isn't moving, I can hear the motor running but no movement. I was able to move the seat forward by rotating the shaft with the sprockets on it but I can't move it back. some kind of lock maybe?
is there a way to bypass the lock? has anyone taken one apart to fix the...
it's a 97, no codes.
i did use a stethoscope to find where the noise was coming from. i way thinking a runner control but if there's no runner control back there then probably the alternator. i'll take the belt off and check.
maybe it's just the dynamics of the intake that make it so...
trying to work out a few kinks in this car and found when idling the intake manifold will make a poping noise in a consistent pattern every 5 secs or so at idal. i don't know if this is related to a electric motor noise coming intermittently from under the intake manifold behind the alternator...
