Gen 2 Drivers Powers Seat Controls Cover

Hey folks, You surely know what I'm talking about. On the left side of the seat, the cover that's always broken and falling apart, the one that holds the power seat buttons. I'm a mold maker and have a '97 LSC with one of these covers that needs replacing. None have shown up on Ebay in the...

    crap no start

Sounds like 2 separate issues (gauge not moving and the puddle). The puddle was probably caused by the vent or filler neck hose not being attached properly. There's a few different ways they could have messed up the sending unit. I found that with the fuel pump disconnected that the gauge...

Newer Gen 2 Owner With a Few Odd Issues

I believe so but since I don't drive much it will take another week or two to tell for sure. It was an intermittent issue anyway, but has not cut out since the (very recent) replacement. Thank you for asking.

16" Taurus Steelies with Beauty Rings and chrome Lugs

Do the LS wheels fit? I've read that we can either use Taurus wheels or swap the hubs :( BTW, for those looking for these wheels, they have 18 ovals. Any other steel Taurus wheels are 15"

16" Taurus Steelies with Beauty Rings and chrome Lugs

Title says it all. The stock octostars were peeling pretty bad so this was my replacement of choice. The wheels were $50 at a local U-Pull-It, $30 for cleaners, primer & paint, $25 for the lug nuts and $30 for the stainless beauty rings. $135 total. I swapped the same tires over and balanced...

Help!! I'm freezing my tush off

You can drop dow the glove box and reach back, find the lever and move it just a tiny bit to the right to get full heat. It doesn't move much, maybe half an inch. I fixed mine with a hose clamp and Krazy glue. Its just behind the computer screen display thingy :)

There was none. I just replaced the pump with one from a Lincoln Aviator. It was aftermarket and had a different plug but came with an adapter. I ended up soldering the new plug on but otherwise it was a direct swap, only the plug had to be modified. There were two wires to the pump, they...

The crankshaft position sensor is behind the AC compressor, which is on the front passenger side of the engine. I'm currently struggling with a similar issue where my '97 will randomly die. I'm pretty confident that it must be cam sensor, crank sensor or fuel pump.

Thanks Mike, Will a failing crank sensor cause the fuel pump to not prime the system? And wouldn't it throw a code?

Newer Gen 2 Owner With a Few Odd Issues

Hey everyone! A few months ago I bought a '97 LSC with 88K on the clock. I've resolved most of it's issues (after lots of searching), but still have the following issues... Code P1000 (readiness code) won't go away. The CEL is off but this code remains. A code shows up occasionally for...
