Being from Kalamazoo and all I have to go with Gibson...I love my 333.

Understand your point, but the water doesn't need to be that deep. Once you start to move through standing water, it's no longer a flat surface. You will make a wave that will crest higher than the surface of the puddle.
They work fine in most applications...in this situation I think it was more an issue with the nature of the engine than an faulty part:

I agree.
The point is you go through everything to make cold air intake. Then install a bypass valve that is open under normal operating conditions and drawing air from the engine compartment.
What advantage does the CAI create then?
