i wasnt able to find much for this engine at rock auto. maybe im doing something wrong ?

My son has a 2001 LS8 that apparently threw a rod. engine locked up, lots of metal debris in oil pan. we have a short block but are having a hard time finding gaskets. well, actually they are easy to find from Ford, but high dollar. we need a source for a head gasket set and possibly other parts...

I have a 2001 LS V8. I assume the oil pump went out. I was driving about 50mph when the engine just died. I have tried to turn the engine over by using a socket and breaker bar and it will not turn. now on to my question. I have read on this baord that 2000-2002 engine interchange and...
