My girlfriend and I discussed this issue of floor vs. column shifter over a margarita. Her take on the issue is who cares? When she is driving with me the only shifter she is concerned about is the one between my legs. :leghumper
Luke has been around for over 50 years. At that time the surrounding area was desert and farmland. The base came before the suburbs and this should come as no surprise to anyone living on that side of town. Well, I guess with exception to this clown. So in an effort to help my fellow...
It is behind the glove box. Remove it and the right side sound insulator panel. Next remove the PCM ( programmer) and you will have access to the heater core. Good Luck

lol. I guess you are right about chilton, it does make an excellent door stop. When you were working on the heater, did you remove any of the ducts? If you did then there is the possibility that this linkage did not reset properly. If not, I would check that AC resistor pack. I talked to a...
My 1990 Eldo has a floor shifter and my 04 Expedition has a column shifter. Go figure? I like them both. The only problem is if I drive the Caddy for a few days and then drive the Expedition, I reach for the floor shifter that is not there. Then when I drive the Eldo, my first instinct is to...
it is going to be where your duct connects to the blower motor. That connection may be under the dash. What happens is the duct has gate which is opened by linkage from the motor. I looks something like a squared s -i_ . Also make sure that you have at least 25mm of clearance, about an...
