    3000 rpm

Ok its normal for the LS rpms to be a little high when first starting but should go back down after about 10-15 seconds. How does it run when driving around? Regarding that stumble did you unhook the battery before you worked on it? If so sometimes the car will run rough at first but the more...

Yea the IAC Valve is the first thing i would suspect when having a idling problem and no codes. Any air hissing sounds? I would also check my vaccum system for any dryrotted or broken hoses. Post back an let us know what you figure out.

2000 Lincoln LS V8 not starting/clunking when trying

And try cleaning that mass airflow sensor too. It should have thrown a code but like i said i have seen some weird things before so a bad or dirty MAF sensor and no code wouldn't surprise me at all.

2000 Lincoln LS V8 not starting/clunking when trying

Ok It's got fuel in the tank and doing the same thing with a charged up battery and now that it's not showing any codes my first thought would be to start checking things like @clubairth mentioned i would check my fuel filter to make sure its not stopped up. If you can easily blow air through it...

2000 Lincoln LS V8 not starting/clunking when trying

Since you're guage isn't working are you absolutely sure it's got plenty of gas in it? It's easy to overlook with a non functioning guage.

2000 Lincoln LS V8 not starting/clunking when trying

You need to hook it to a code reader and come back and post any codes that it has. Its hard to diagnose what it is with clunking sputtering and it dies lol that could be a whole bunch of things. I will still take a shot at it with the info you've given cause i always love a challenge! I would...

2001 LS V8 possible blown head gasket

Speaking of blue devil i have used AT-205 reseal in a engine that was leaking oil from a headgasket. I had my doubts but thought i would try it before i tore the engine down for a headgasket replacement. Put it in and 5 days later It had completly stopped the oil leak. Ive also used Bars...

2001 LS V8 possible blown head gasket

I don't see how it would be easier with the engine out if you are just replacing head gaskets. That seems like alot of extra work just to replace two gaskets. Good luck! I hope it all goes great for you.

Been away too long.... but had to say fare well

Haha thats awesome you went from one Jag engine to another. When i bought my 06 LS i looked at some of the older supercharged Jag engines that was similar to the 3.9 and seriously thought about swapping one in. I decided to keep it all original and see how many miles i could get out of it...
