    stereo install kit???

The radio harness that you are looking for is a Metra part number 70-5511. This will allow you to use the factory amps and still hook up your sub amp. The kit that you need is a Metra part number 99-5802. You are correct that they suck. I made my own kit when I installed my radio. I...

    High Output Alternator Price Quote

There is a problem with having someone rewind your alt for you. Typically, they only have more output at higher RPM and less at lower RPM. A custom built one will give you idle performance. Try Gus @ Ohio Generator, his number is 330-875-6677. Little cheaper, good alt.

    Wiring amp's.

There has never been a factory radio with preamp outputs. You can do a few things. You can unplug your inputs at the factory amp and install RCA ends on them, but only if you are going to run an amp to front and rear speakers. You can also use a line output convertor, this would have to go on...

    Rear wheel backspacing

I am wanting to put a 18" x 10" wheel on the rear of my 96 Mark VIII. Does anyone know what the backspacing has to be to keep them under the car? I can't seem to find anyone at a wheel shop that is willing to help me.

    Subwoofers

You can get the best of both worlds if you do a couple of 10" woofers in a ported box. I built mine to where it is sealed to the inside of the car and ran the ports through my rear deck. All the bottom end goes in the car, no rattles!!! Just make sure that you have enough power for the...

You can go to supercoupeperformance.com and they have some brake packages for the Marks. Everything from a 2 piston to a 6 piston setup.

    6x9 speakers in the rear?

You could go either way. Round speakers will give you better performance in the long run. They will get louder with alot less distortion. You should go to a car audio speciality shop and get you some baffles for your speakers. Should be able to buy them pretty reasonable. Will give you alot...

    New Problem

I don't know what your problem is with your Mark, but your first problem is that you went to Best Buy. I am an installer/owner of a car audio shop and I wouldn't let anyone from there install on even a Caddy. There are good installers out there, just make sure that you go to a speciality shop...

    Headlight question

I just replaced both of my headlights and went to an aftermarket HID kit. I got my headlights off of e-bay, bought both for under $150. The HID kit was almost a direct replacement. The only thing you have to do is check to make sure the polarity is correct. They run about $275.00to $350.00.

    New Amp and Sub Addition

He's right. Just make sure that if you are upgrading your alternator that you get one with idle performance. Most people just get theirs rewound, that doesn't help. It only gives you performance around 2,000 RPM. You need it at idle.

    Powering amp???

xTHANATOPSISx is right. I run a stereo shop and run into this quite often. What probally happened is that when you took the amp out or was putting it back in, the speaker wires touched. This would take out the amp. If you can find a repair guy, he might be able to repair it. You will...

    Danger Zone!?

My mechanic has 225,000 miles on his 93 Mark and has no problems. He is going to rebuild another engine, but only for performance reasons. I have a 96 w/100,000 and I drive the crap out of mine. I don't turn down any race.
