My 05 sport doesn't have the subs either, I think it was an option or part of the ultimate package. I'm sure you could just wire them in, I doubt they have different wiring harnesses between the sub models.

*small update* I've now driven the car about 500 miles, the noise has stayed the exact same. Only thing of note is that it doesn't make the noise on cold start only after the engine has been warmed up completely. I would still like any input anyone has, I'm not really concerned about it at...
