You can hack off the threads of the ball joint and turn that very same press tool used to put it in, upside down and press the ball joint out.

Well it was an intake manifold leak. I went ahead and updated the intake manifold while I was at it. And I figured while I was doing that I might as well go ahead and do the PI intake swap for more horsepower.

I'm pretty sure its an intake manifold leak.

I took the Idle Control Valve off and it still looked clean. I just replaced it last year. I also checked the vacum lines, they all seem to be tight and there is no hissing sounds that I can hear where there would be a leak. I do have quite a bit of ticking noise coming from around the fuel...

I did recently have to fix a vacum line on the intake. And had my cowel drain pan filling up and overflowing into my heater vent.

I just changed my battery and I had my alternator checked at the time and it was fine.

I replaced that last year. :( Along with my fuel pump because I thought I had a bad fuel pump at first.

Sorry not sure what you were getting at. Its hard to start and when I get it started it has a terrible idel.

I thought I sumed that up? It is getting 14 mpg and runs like :q:q:q:q in the morning when I first start up.

My head hurts now.

I have the same problem with my 99 Towncar right now. Anyone know what to look for? Could it be the fuel injectors are clogged???

So if I went to the dealer they would be required to give me a new intake? Is this true?
