How to wire LED tail lights

LEDs have more resistance than incandescent bulbs, not less. The higher the resistance, the less current flow. Kind of the inverse of how you are thinking of it. In this case the car is seeing too much resistance and thinks the circuit is open (open circuit = infinite resistance). On the...

How to wire LED tail lights

They should match pretty closely to the HIDs then. I think I used some 2000 or 2500 lumen ones I found on Amazon, they work very well. They might have been 6000K too, its been a couple years and I've got way too many projects going on haha

How to wire LED tail lights

The fog lights aren't monitored, so you won't need a load resistor. If you have HID headlights you'll want 5000K color temperature LEDs to match. Halogen headlights are probably closer to 3000K color temperature. Should be plug and play. Whats the lumen output of them?

How to wire LED tail lights

Hey guys, I've done a full LED conversion on my 2003, stop lights, running lights, turn signals, everything. I have no errors. You'll need to wire in some relays to change polarity of the sockets in the taillights, as the factory uses a common positive, switched independent grounds for the...

03 LS V8 - Spark retard table vs Knock sensors

Hi guys, looking to see if anyone has any info on how the knock sensors voltage readings are calculated in determining spark retard. I can see the voltage coming from the sensors, but I'm curious on how the table then determines how much spark to retard. Anyone have any insight on this? I...

03 LS Sport - ETC Failsafe mode

Hey guys just a recap of what I did to repair the transmission. I did a complete teardown and inspection on it, installing new high energy bands and new clutch packs. I also installed a Transgo shift kit and did the servo bore sleeve repair. On the solenoid pack I did resistance tests on the...

03 LS Sport - ETC Failsafe mode

Hi guys just a quick update. I finally got around to working on the LS, pulled the transmission and look what i found: I think I may have found the culprit. Congrats to Joegr for correctly guessing a broken servo.

You know, I should really try searching the forum for the fault codes before I post....I'll try doing some of the pin-point tests you recommended to other users. :)

03 LS Sport - ETC Failsafe mode

Is there a service procedure I should be looking at? Or just take it to a transmission shop? I haven't done a lot of work on transmissions, but if there are more diagnosis procedures I should do, I'd be happy to give them a try and report back! Thanks!

03 LS Sport - ETC Failsafe mode

Hey guys hope everyone is well! So after driving the car the last 3-4 weeks since replacing the ABS module and EGR, had no issues until last Friday. A check transmission message appeared on the MC and started experiencing some very strange shifting (transmission seems locked to 2nd or 3rd gear)...

Help with ABS, Traction Control and Brake dash lights

I use the VCM 2 adapter, but it was fairly pricey (~$150). Works great tho, no problems using ForScan to program the ABS module.

03 LS Sport - ETC Failsafe mode

Yah I grabbed a center console cover when I was there as well. Hinge and latch had broken on the old one. One of the cars there had drilled and slotted rotors, they were a bit too rusty for my taste, or else I'd have grabbed them too!

03 LS Sport - ETC Failsafe mode

There were probably 10 LS's in the one yard I went to. Perhaps it's due to the large amount of horrible drivers here: lots of money + bad drivers = good junkyards!
