i want to sell it,
now my fog lights dont work. i have xenon 6000k, and now both doesnt work, i tried changing the fuse but only one worked and after like 15 seconds it went out, i changed the fuse again it burned 3 fuses.
i hate my f**** caaaaaar. and started kicking it and now it has a big black spot (the rubber of my shoe)

i installed my xenon kit like 1 year ago.
and i never had that problem. until now.

but it started the last saturday night . my alternator got wet and my car was turning of and things like that, sunday morning my car was working fine, but without foglights, and today i changed the fuse and that happened. its not that my "modification" isnt working.

i think one of them fu**ed up, but when i turn on the fog lights i think they both start and then they go off like 5 seconds after that and they wont start again because the fuse got burned, they are burning the fuse every time i turn them on,
 
my fog lights stopped working last night, they wouldn't even turned on, i'm thinking the ballasts got wet and got ruined but i haven't checked anything yet
 
When I had the pink fogs one of mine cut on for a few seconds, then went off also. I changed the ballast with a new one and it worked again. Now I have the green fogs and they still work great. Had them act up one time, but I was turning them off n on multiple times within seconds (bad for the ballast). Maybe yours is drawing too much power and blowing fuses

they werent chinese, i think read the post, i installed them a year ago. and my fog lights ran out last saturday when my alternator got wet. may be my ballast got wet too and made a short circuit.. ?

but there is a point when a person gets tired of things you know
im getting tired of trying to fix and rebuild 100% my ls
 
Sorry to hear that. I have fun rebuilding it. The car isn't meant to last forever without something breaking on it. You were so excited a few days ago with your ram air mod and now you want to sell it, prob just caught you at a bad time though.
 
I was once told by a "WISE" guy that a car was only meant to last 11 months, or else how are they going to sell next years model?

Maybe the alternator getting wet cause voltage spikes or drops, either way can't blame the car when it was operated in conditions it wasn't built for.

If you try to jump the Grand Canyon in your LS and you crashed and died you think people will blame the car for your death? No because it wasn't meant to be there in the first place.

tomorrow i am going to remove and change the ballast to test them. maybe the one that doesnt turn on is causing the short circuit

If it's anything other than an OEM ballast, it's Chinese and of rather poor quality.

Hope all goes well though.

I was just messin with you. I was kinda drunk when I wrote that last night lol.

What I meant was: If you are going to throw a fit about the car because an aftermarket part has failed after a year (most cheap HID kits only have a year warranty for a reason) and blame it on the car, then you must not know very much about the kit. IIRC, both fog lights are on the same fuse. If one bad ballast is causing the blown fuse, obviously they both won't work after the fuse blows. At least, that's where I would start. Don't blame the car for something you put onto it that wasn't designed to be there.

You state the facts of riding a guy...everyone...or at least most people here...prefer to state that their LS is a she....why?....here could be some reasons:

She is...
High Maintenance
Beautiful but not much muscle
Love hate relationship
Uncommon
You can drive her hard but expect a repair bill
You can upgrade her but it won't be cheep
You get plenty of quality for such little price
Older men seem to have more of them around (you know how old men love young ladies)
Meant to compete with German quality
Hot tempered

my car is a he and it doesnt need any reasons, you dont go arround asking guys reasons for beeing males,you just know it.

this is why you fail at cars, fuses dont blow for sh!ts and giggles, there is always a reason, just replacing a fuse and trying it again and again with out doing any trouble shooting or repair is bushleague, plain and simple.

of course there is a f#$%ing problem, its either with your lights or your wiring, duh

how many fuses have you gone through? have you tried a bigger fuse ? (i bet you have)
