Never seen chrome side markers before on a Non-Sport LS. I do not think they look bad, but the stupid port holes, pillars, and door handles are chrome overload. Obviously, I am a big fan of the wheels.

Oh no no no!

Well,... I love how he did it the right way instead of just painting it. Thats freaking cool but I dont know how long it will last.

But uh what the hell is with the square port holes and all the rest of the chrome on that thing?

Dude, those port holes are an easy 8 hp EACH!!

I like the chrome markers on the non-sport bumper. Wheels look great too, although if you're going that big, at least put some aftermarket zinc coated rotors to get rid of the rust. No comment on the rest.

He shoulda repainted the chrome on the bumper cause you can notice the color difference between the two. Nice idea...but the different shades of chrome stand out too much for me. I'm just gonna paint over my chrome on the bumper and get my side markers DARK black.....

I did the chrome side markers hehehe check me out, yeah different shades but still looks good

605RezlifeLS how did you chrome your side markers? I'm considering color-matching mine, or going with the traditional clear ones. Anyone have any thoughts? Heres a quick crappy photoshop to give the effect.

Kinda offsets the chrome on the bumper..... I'm just gonna color match the side markers and the chrome on the bumper so it won't be so..overly chromed...the rear chrome on the bumper is questionable....

one of your headlights is out, and I used chrome paint, their is a website you can get a chrome side marker especially for the lincoln ls, not a plastic paint job, but It's not worth it I'd say just go with chrome paint or if anything just buy some chrome tape somewhere, it's more like a tint, u cant see the leds during the day but at night they light up threw the chrome and it looks awesome, I think it blends the car color alot better, and because your's is silver I can imagine it would blend alot more, I'd say go for it

if u want the website for an actual chrome side marker I can give it to u, but i tell u, they won't gaurantee a perfect color-toned match of chrome with the rest of the car, so I wouldnt waste 100$ on that.

also I jus washed her today to see if anything would wash off or anything but nope she still shines, good luck!

I don't know why it looks like my headlight is out in that pic, i just checked and its fine. I haven't completely decided on what to do the side markers, whether it be color-matching, clearing, chroming, or smoking. Thanks for the info and the opinion though!

If you got the chrome bumper and you plan on doing anything to the side markers I say figure out a way to chrome them. Painting them looks cheap, especially color matched IMO cause now it looks like you took a huge short cut cause you can still notice there is a lens there. Personally I think thats just a cheap way out of getting rid of something you dont want there especially when its still noticeable. Going through the troubles of removing it and filling it in is even better but still, the chroming of the lens just helps the chrome flow and look so much better.

That or clear.

Wonder how it'd look with chrome paint on the housing, and a clear lens over the top? When I did my clear side markers, I color matched the housing before installing the clear lens. Maybe the chrome paint behind the lens would be nice.

Just giving a suggestion.

I actually like this suggestion alot. Im afraid to chrome them because if the chrome doesn't match i think it will look tacky. I agree with JWerner2 that just color-matching them will look cheap. So i think im down to either smoking them or try the clear lens over the color-matched housing.

However, im not a big fan of the cleared turn signals, which would be the next natural step after doing cleared side markers. So that may dictate the smoked style.

Well, the bowls for the turn signals are chrome so just take a close look at someone that still has the all clear turn signal lens.

Might not help much cause its not along the bumper but hey... its something to look at.

If you can tell from my avatar, clear side markers, and removed the amber lens from the headlight.

One of my buddies passed out with his shoes on a couple years ago. That's what he woke up to :D
