I bought the LS about 4 weeks ago.
I got an insane deal through a dealer auction.
2005 ultimate, norsea blue metallic.
Every single option offered except for heated rear seats (does anyone here actually have them?)
I also have the sirius antenna hooked up from the dealer.
I know the car is dirty, don't worry...my stoners and menerza products are on the way ;)

whoops...changed the pics

I got the KN intake kit. the non metallic one. Thats going in next week.
Mileage is mixed. With AC blasting in traffic, i get about 9 mpg. On the highway with no AC, Ive hit 30 for a few stretches with cruise.

Very nice!

Just be careful of the rear bumper in Brooklyn. Mine's got some nice gashes from morons who don't know how to stop until they hit something while parking

Nice color. I don't have the rear heated seats in my '03. I have an early build and I don't think they were available then, I don't sit back there anyway. Do you have the HID's?

Whoa, 9 MPG!? Are you having coil issues? Your LS looks nice though. Did they have the VCS (Vehicle Communication System) option in the second gens?

i could see 9 in real stop and go with the A/C on. but get that K&N in quick. nice car though. ENJOY

Really? I'm getting right around 17.3 MPG in my '02 V8 in 100% city driving, A/C on, and in 95+ degree heat (I do drive it like a granny, and it's always in D5). I don't see how you could get 9 MPG in this car, even with flooring it from every stop. I remember seeing a post of QuickLS's dash where the message center was reading 12 something MPG. :shifty:

Anyways, back on topic... I'm wishing I had the cooled seats this time of year, but they didn't offer that on the first gens. :( I bet you're enjoying that.

i'm up to 18 now with new road routes but at my worst constant stop and go city route i was averaging 15.5 or so and i'm very heavy on the pedal... i don't know how you're getting 9 unless you're spinning tires from every light and then slamming on the brakes... i'd reset your little mpg odometer... every once in a while mine does a freak out thing where it drops to 0.0mpg for no apparent reason.. then the mpg begins to average out like i previously was at 0.0 mpg for the last few hundred miles.. i have to reset it then... that's my only guess without some serious engine issues.

Hmm. By stop and go I mean stop sign or light at every block, and standing for a few minutes here and there and moving at 5 mph. With no AC I get about 14 in the same scenario. This is all on hot days like we have now. I'm using 91 as well. Btw how does the warranty work? It's 4 years / 48K correct? So I should just drop it by the dealer? Do you guys get courtesy cars when you do that?

Do you have the HID's?

Yep, they rock.

Did they have the VCS (Vehicle Communication System) option in the second gens?

What's that..the message center? I have a button on the wheel that says "voice" and I can use it to control some audio and navi functions.

sitting in traffic every block with the A/C on would drop it pretty low. but i think stock air induction doesn't help. i'm hoping to see an improvment with my CAI

I have something like that called the "Bumper Badger". f*ckin' thing put fine little scratches in my bumper by itself from swaying in the wind.

wow, you didn't get heated rear seats? HA loser

I think that is what the factory warranty is. Call up and make sure it's transferred to your name so you receive warranty and recall info.

You should get a courtesy car. My factory warranty included one whenever mine was being worked on.

You got to put that back in your trunk dude..You cant drive around on the freeway with that thing flappin around.

Yeah, people don't care about parking in brooklyn. Even people with nice cars. On my maxima that I had before the LS, I came one time to find two gashes in the rear bumper. There was a ford windstar parked in back of me, and he had a metal chain decorative license plate holder.

Wow, they're that careless and stupid there? If you fock up someone's car, and you don't plan on telling them about it, then you better have enough sense to move it to another spot! I'm more than happy to return the favor when I catch idiots like that. :D

It's never once been outside the car when driven. People who do that are morons. I'm pretty sure it was the salt build up on the car that did it when we had a few windy days last winter.

And I would love more than anything to repay the favor, but then I only f*ck up my car. More than a few people have had my cigarette "accidentally" land on their car when I see theirs on top of mine. Unfortunately, I never get to see the owners of these cars or else they'd get a few choice words.

id prob just key thier shyt all over if i knew who hit me and they were still there...or maybe throw a rock or 2.

Some updates...
I went in to the dealer to do a 30K mile service. It cost 500. It included everything, all the fluids changed, lubricated, and all around inspection. She got a clean bill of health. The headliner was loose and was re secured.
I have a wierd noise that the dealer couldnt figure out. it sounds like a rubbery crunch coming from the doors when I go over a rough bump.

I also held off on putting in the KN because I wanted to do it after i got the car back from the dealer. Anyways...about the mileage.
The mileage went up after the dealer service. With AC blasting, in rush hour nyc stop and go, I now get 11. My around town mileage is noticeably better. Around town with a stop here and there I now get around 16-17. On the highway today, outside temp 75, AC off, I got 28.9 at 60 mph. With AC on, it went down to 27. Does that sound right to you guys?

Btw, the car draws a lot of complements :D

You know what would look killer on that car? Some 18" KMC Dime wheels with tires. And I happen to know of a set for sale. :D

I love your Attitude NYC always looking out for someone else who needs to improve their life a little bit. I couldn't deal with what you guys do in the BIG CITY. Screw that jazz. Ill kick a door in over a door ding in the midwest and not think. But as for keying some ones elses car. NEVER. That deserves a meeting with MR. HOOD, IF ya know what I mean. Let air out of tires Yeah, Good for a laugh, but slashing, keying, or punching someone elses car in my opinion, deserves an ass beating all in it self. People talk, up until that day when you wake up to find over 60 feet of key in your 2004 F-150 King Ranch. Talk about wishing it was a bad dream.

I'm getting tired of having to deal with it, to be honest. EVERY time I go and wash the car, I find yet ANOTHER gash, scrape, etc. on my front AND rear bumpers. If it was from me, I could understand. But I would have to be a complete idiot to hit something with rear freakin' parking sensors.

I'm telling youse, one day you're gonna see me on the news for going apesh*t on the person I actually see hit my car. Inconsiderate f*cks need beatings. It's unfortunate that they out-number us people that try to take care of the sh*t we make payments on.

Think Michael Douglas in "Falling Down". I'll beat someone with a loaf of italian bread if I have to.

:D
