The DA at Infineon is usually 1000+ DA and because of it's location there is a head wind 9 times out of 10. It's a good track but definitely not considered to be a fast track like Atco or some of the other east coast tracks.

Thanks DLF!
My DA was 1145 feet when I ran a 13.59 NA. So in the same conditions, you're telling me that a Vortech with 6 psi and probably 100+ more rwhp is only a few tenths faster? I DISAGREEHe should be able to run 12s, even at my track.
Sounds like you should have gone last Friday.![]()
You mean to say he was only a few tenths quicker (ET), he was almost 6 mph faster which suggests he has 60 more rear wheel horsepower assuming same DA and race weight. His car definitely has more in it. Every 1000 ft in DA is worth 1mph or about 10 horsepower.
It sucks. The only time we have super low DA is early spring and late fall at my track due to the elevation.
how many mph did you pick up with a gear? Im gonna go to TnT on friday night and find out how many mine will help. i was trapping @ 93 before
holy crap. did you also have a tune and some other mods though?
ahhh gotcha. id be ecstatic if i got 4-5 mph. but i doubt that will happen
i have not. Good deal?
so what your really sayin is i need to dump the stock intake and grab a tuner
I would disagree with you, it all depends on the track conditions. I can guarantee you that a Vortech Mark VIII with 6 psi would run no better than low 13's at my track (Infineon Raceway).
When and if I make a run into the 13s it will have to be with the stock manifolds. I simply can't afford kooks headers
