The transmission position sensor, or the transmission sensor would cause the car to have a hard shift from 1st to 2nd? The TPS on the diagnostic reads 1volt at idle is that normal??

Btw the car is a 97 continental that's just had it's transmission rebuilt

It could be a broken accumulator spring.
