Steering wheel and column color

The steering wheel on my 98 is flaking so I found another black column and wheel, $100. First glance I thought I had the right color. From the picture you can tell they don't. The wheel is much blacker, if that makes sense.

Question is do I switch the plastic covers on the column so the wheel and covers match and the rest of the dash doesn't or do I just switch the wheel?

There is a difference in "black" from 97 to 98. 97 is darker everywhere in the car. I would just keep an eye out for a 98 wheel.

Dark graphite I think was one color. My 96 hard a black interior, but I picked up the super dark grey floor matts from a second gen and loved how it looked.
