Hydrolic vs solid

What kind do we got? what kinda rpm could i think about if we do have hyd stock, and i switched to solid?

lol, you could say that...i had basicly 4 hours by myself, doing nothing at work tonight, so i just was reading my mustang mag, and comming up with ideas.
 
A solid setup is going to put much more stress on parts make more valvetrain noise. A hydrolic lifter would be able to spin pretty quickly.
 
I don't know of a solid set up that exists for this engine. You would need a way to adjust the lash...and I don't think it exists. The only advantages a solid has over a hydraulic is lighter valve train components and more aggressive ramps. Neither of these are an issue with this engine in hydraulic form.
 
As others have stated there is no way to adjust lash on these engines. The only lifters that will work are hydraulic, besides would you really want the headache that comes with solids?
