I dropped the tank on my 98 to put in my new AEM fuel pump. All is going well, I trimmed the hat to fit the pump and swapped the wires around for,the electrical connector.

Problem: The nipple on the pump is taller than it was originally and the hump thing doesn't line up with the other one height wise.

What are my options to work around this? It looks like the other fitting is a return to the basket. What would happen if I connected the line direct to the pump?

Please help!!

Look for one of these or get a shorter pump like the svt focus one
The one in the picture is from my 97

Thank you!!!!!!
Goto the bone yard you think? I can't imagine actually getting the piece individually from ford...

I found a pump assembly for a 97 at the yard for $50. Hope that does it. Thanks again.

I noticed the exit port is on the opposite side too. Still had enough tube for the rerouting. This phase is done!
Working on the rearend now and getting the gears setup. One more trip to the machine shop to swap pinion shim.
With any luck I will have it all back together today and doing burnouts.

Thanks again for the help!!!
